See technical qualifications TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates for this position must have graduated from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association and be a member in good standing of the bar of a state, a territory of the United States, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Candidates should have the ability to: ÃÃ÷ Research and analyze complex factual and legal issues and present legally sound results in a clear, precise, and persuasive manner, both orally and in writing; ÃÃ÷ Produce written work products in a number of formats, including regulations, legal memoranda, memoranda of understanding, correspondence, and draft legislation; and ÃÃ÷ Provide a full range of legal advice and support related to a variety of statutes and programs. Candidates will be evaluated on their total background, including experience, education, awards, and training. Candidates with one to three years of legal experience are preferred. Those who have experience as judicial clerks or working for a law firm will receive closer consideration, as will candidates who have experience with the legislative process, the Congressional budget process, or the drafting of federal legislation. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 (NACI) investigation.
