Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience in the Federal service which includes: analyzing a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the improvement of family programs; developing projections and/or recommending strategies for meeting family program requirements; and providing guidance on family program policies and procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to Detail Planning and Evaluating Problem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
About the Position: This position is with the Headquarters Department of Army, Staff and Field Operating Agencies Family Programs located in Arlington, VA. Position may be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 2 Years. Term appointments may be extended beyond 6 years, up to 8 years. With DoD approval, Term appointments may be extended beyond 8 years.
