Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must possess or be able to obtain First aid and CPR certification (must obtain within 60 days of employment). Must possess or be able to obtain equal to or exceeding Outdoor Emergency Care Certification or Wilderness First Responder & Swift Water Rescue Technician certification (must obtain within 180 days of employment). Applicant must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with individuals and groups. Working knowledge and ability to teach/lead outdoor activities, i.e. white-water rafting, kayaking, hiking, Alpine and Nordic skiing, snowboarding, downhill skiing, tubing, ATVing, snow machining, etc. Must have knowledge that ensures compliance with regulations, laws and requirements for health and safety. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
About the position: This position will be assigned to the 773 FSS Hillberg Ski Area on JBER, AK. This is a Regular Full-Time position. Regular Full-Time employees have a regular and continuous work schedule of at least 35 hours to a maximum of 40 hours per week.
