GS:12-Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level GS-11 in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA’s) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Specialized experience is defined as the following, you must meet 7 out of 9. 1. General correspondence review, including screening, analyzing, assigning, and tracking executive correspondence from public, private, and/or non-profit organizations. 2. Experience with automated tracking systems. 3. Communicating verbally and in writing with individuals to obtain information for executive correspondence preparation. 4. Drafting and reviewing written products (such as, but not limited to, reports, correspondence, or memoranda). 5. Compiling and synthesizing information from multiple sources into a cohesive whole product (written or oral). 6. Experience coordinating written responses to correspondence from the general public; other Federal agencies, and Congressional offices. 7. Evaluating information and making recommendations based on the evaluation. 8. Contributing to recommendations and/or development of changes in work methods and procedures to improve operations or compliance. 9. Tracking work product status and coordinating successful completion. Developing proposals and recommendations to modify correspondence management policies, procedures, and operations. 8. Evaluating information and making recommendations based on the evaluation. 9. Contributing to recommendations and/or development of changes in work methods and procedures to improve operations or compliance. 10.
