Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning and conducting investigations while ensuring hotline complaints are investigated in accordance with command guidance; 2) Establishing and interpreting Inspector General (IG) policy on program and IG matters and advise HQs and staff on such matters; 3) Overseeing/mentoring civilian staff, including ability to provide technical and administrative guidance (i.e. performance counseling, discipline, incentives, professional development); 4) Directing and conducting inspections, investigations, evaluations and special reviews in matters of fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement of programs throughout the command; and 5) Applying innovative investigative methods to solve technically complex and/or intricate, sensitive, or unprecedented problems, in the use of management, auditing and investigation theory, procedures and methodology. You will serve as a Supervisory Inspector General in the Office of Inspector General (Code N00G) as a Special Assistant, reporting directly to Commander, Naval Education and Training Command (CNETC) and has additional reporting responsibilities to the Naval Inspector General (NAVIG).
