Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying occupational safety and health standards, regulations, or policies to reduce or eliminate employee exposure to health hazards. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Managing safety or occupational health program elements; Designing or modifying workplaces, processes, products, or other systems to control or eliminate hazards; Developing or implementing programs to reduce the frequency, severity, and cost of accidents and occupational illnesses; Training of workers, supervisors, managers, or other safety and occupational health personnel in safety or occupational health subjects. You will serve as a Safety & Occupational Health Specialist in the Environmental Safety and Health (ESH) Office of Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion, and Repair, Newport News (SUPSHIPNN).
