This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. GS-12: Specialized experience: I have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as :Project management for one or more civil works projects under life cycle project management system. Assist in the planning and oversight of cost and schedule execution of the planning, design and construction of project in coordination with the functional chiefs. Reviews project criteria, construction progress, and contract modifications. Assist in the evaluation of the status of project against established milestones and objectives by analyzing information presented to assure the attainment of goals and objectives.
About the Position: Serves as a Project Manager for the Corps of Engineers assigned to the Planning, Programs and Project Management Division within the Buffalo District. Works under general supervision of the Section Chief, who makes assignments in terms of overall objectives and any limitations on the scope of projects. Incumbent plans and carries out assignments independently, setting own priorities and coordinating work, as necessary.
