Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Painting Worker ~ without more than normal supervision. I can prepare a variety of surfaces for painting, use different techniques to create the finished product needed, and use different tools such as wire brushes, paint brushes and rollers, spray guns, putty knives and sandpaper. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. – Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. PHYSICAL EFFORT Work requires long periods of standing, frequent bending and lifting. Items vary in shape and may weigh 40 pounds. WORKING CONDITIONS Work is performed inside and occasionally outside in hot, cold, damp, humid, or chilling or dry atmospheric conditions. Employee must be subject to cuts, bruises, and abrasions. Exposed to constant noise, dust, fumes, gases, solvents, grease, and oils. Works on slippery or uneven walking surfaces, around objects and on vehicles, and ladders. Works closely with others or alone. Safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and protective clothing and respiratory protection are required.
