High school diploma or GED required. One year of experience within the health/fitness industry is preferred. Candidate must possess and maintain a basic level certification from a nationally accredited certifying organization. A certification from one of the following associations is required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire American Council on Exercise (ACE) American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM) National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) Candidate must be able to demonstrate knowledge of and skill to administer fitness assessments, progressive individual fitness plans and proper exercise techniques. Knowledge of established exercise principles, concepts, and techniques to plan and conduct fitness testing, interpret results and develop fitness plans. Candidate must possess a current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or obtain within 6 months of hire.
