To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the duties that include following the established procedures in the servicing, collection, and/or liquidation actions of the more complex and problematic business and home loan applications; reviewing and analyzing financial condition of borrowers to detect financial trends and initiate corrective action; developing and participating in training programs for subordinate personnel; and assisting in drafting and editing standard loan documents, reports, and/or correspondence. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. All qualification requirements must be met by 11:59 pm (Eastern Time) on 10/15/2024.
This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Birmingham Disaster Loan Service Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Serves as a Loan Specialist and is responsible for servicing or liquidating a full range of disaster business and home loans.
