GS-13 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted). You may qualify at the GS-1035-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level which includes 1) Planning, designing, and executing comprehensive news media conferences, opportunities or campaigns to convey information concerning law enforcement operations to internal and external audiences; 2) Possessing current contacts of media representatives covering law enforcement activities; 3) Utilizing social media and traditional news media platforms to promote organizational successes and positive stories about law enforcement efforts; and 4) Responding to complex inquiries from media sources, broadcast, internet etc. on behalf of a law enforcement program office or organization. Office of Public and Congressional Affairs, Arlington, VA The selectee of this position serves as a Public Affairs Specialist. You will be responsible for conducting and expressing historical topics for the U.S. Marshals Service. You will conduct research and respond to requests for historical information, prepare historical articles, develop USMS exhibits, maintain historical artifacts, and prepare talking points and speeches on historical matters.
