Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level: Serving as a technical expert in the interpretation and application of safety and health regulations and procedural requirements and in the interpretation and compliance with OSHA standards, such as 29 CFR 1960, 29 CFR 1926,and other applicable safety and health mandates Directing or leading teams to meet project goals and requirements and fostering team commitment, facilitating cooperation and motivating team members to accomplish group goals Consulting, advising and negotiating solutions with management, Safety and Mission Assurance (S&MA) engineers, and program officials concerning compliance with policy, procedures, and processes related to safety programs Developing networks and building partnerships, collaborating with stakeholders to build strategic relationships and achieve common goals Your resume must include a clear and detailed narrative description, in your own words, of how you meet the required specialized experience. You will serve as Chief of the Occupational Health Branch providing supervision of health and safety professionals in the implementation of Occupational/Environmental Health programs providing direct support to all center staff, and associated programs, projects, and institutional activities. You will also serve as the Safety, Health, and Mission Assurance Contract Technical Representative for Occupational Health programs.
