At the GS-10 level, you must meet one of the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes but is not limited to: experience applying the principles, practices, methods, and techniques for all phases of audiovisual productions and editing from inception to completion; fundamental understanding of the latest technical broadcast standards and techniques, including all phases of the audiovisual productions to advise, direct, edit and produce recordings for meetings and conferences; seeks guidance from Team Leader to resolve complex problems; demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in writing; OR B. A master’s or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related; OR C. A Combination of education and experience as list above. At the GS-11 level, you must meet one of the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-10 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes but is not limited to: an advanced experience applying the practices, methods, and techniques for all phases of audiovisual productions and editing from inception to completion; In depth experience of the latest technical broadcast standards and techniques, including all phases of the audiovisual productions to advise, direct, edit and produce recordings for meetings and conferences; experience providing professional guidance to resolve complex problems; demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in writing; OR B. A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., if related; OR C. A Combination of education and experience as list above.. At the GS-12 level, you must meet the following qualification: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes but is not limited to: expert experience of the principles, practices, methods, and techniques for all phases of audiovisual productions and editing from inception to completion; expert experience of the latest technical broadcast standards and techniques, including all phases of the audiovisual productions to advise, direct, edit and produce recordings for conferences; ability to interpret, analyze and specify broad policy guidance; provides professional guidance to resolve complex problems; demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in writing. Only experience and education obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
This position is part of the Office of Facilities and Administrative Services. The incumbent will be responsible for providing audiovisual support for meetings, events, award ceremonies, cultural observances, training, press conferences, for departmental bureaus, offices, Secretarys Immediate Office, White House, other federal agencies, non-profit organizations and the private sector.
