Golf Course Maintenance Superintendent NF-04

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Golf Course Superintendent as described in duties above (management of the daily maintenance, repair and playing conditions of the entire area of the Golf course facility. Experience directing and supervising all subordinate maintenance employees in all phases of the daily golf course maintenance; mowing practices, irrigation, corrective and preventive chemical applications, and fertilization of necessary areas. Ensure development and execution of a preventive maintenance plan with cyclical cleaning and maintenance of all maintenance vehicles and turf equipment). Must be able to obtain a DOD Pest Management Certificate. Working knowledge of chemicals used on insects and for weeds and brush control. PLUS Must have a four-year degree in Agronomy; or, 24 semester hours in major study in botanical grass/plants and three additional years’ experience as a Golf Course Superintendent that provided the candidate with knowledge of types of grasses, diseases, chemicals, and golf course maintenance practices that lead to health golf course playing conditions. **Resume MUST clearly reflect the knowledge and experience listed in criteria above to be considered for this job position.
