AIRMAN AND FAMILY READINESS SPECIALIST – Title 5

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: For positions for which individual occupational requirements do not specify otherwise, general experience is 3 years of progressively responsible experience, 1 year that demonstrates the ability to: Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; Plan and organize work; and Communicate effectively orally and in writing. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 1 year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Candidate has experience or knowledge with Transition Assistance Program (TAP). Experience preparing and delivering written communications and oral presentations to all levels of an organization. Experience counseling, coaching, and consulting Service Members and their families on the functions of the Airman and Family Readiness Program. Candidate has excellent communication and the ability to maintain work relationships and give prompt response to Service Members and families questions. Candidate is exceptional at organization and multitasking. Experience in coordinating community, state, and national resources to assist Service Members. Candidate has experience with writing newsletters and informational fliers for Service Members and families. Experience or working knowledge of veteran’s disability claims to include advising and helping veterans. Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, PP, TEAMS, Word. Experience with AFFIRST and MyVector preferred but not required.
