GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Administering public affairs programs and activities throughout the command’s entire domain; 2) Identifying the program requirements, the nature of the information required, the needs of the targeted audience, and the most appropriate means of disseminating the information; 3) Collecting and disseminating informational materials aimed at enhancing the external public’s understanding of the organization’s programs, accomplishments, and events; 4) Preparing and distributing news releases, feature articles, photographs, and other informational materials for Navy-wide, and on occasion, national news media including newspaper, radio, and television; and 5) Managing social media sites for the command. GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Administering public affairs programs and activities throughout the command’s entire domain; 2) Collecting and disseminating informational materials aimed at enhancing the external public’s understanding of the organization’s programs, accomplishments, and events; and 3) Preparing and distributing news releases, feature articles, photographs, and other informational materials for Navy-wide, and on occasion, national news media including newspaper, radio, and television.
