FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using a financial management system (e.g., Navy Enterprise Resource Planning [ERP] or similar system} to process, review, and analyze funding actions or budgetary information; 2) Extracting and compiling information from multiple sources to create financial management or budget/execution reports using various business tools and applications; 3) Analyzing financial reports to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance to budget policy and regulations; 4) Analyzing, evaluating and reviewing financial budget and execution data, and creating reports using business tools and applications, performing cost and economic analysis, monthly performance metrics and analysis to provide recommendations for process improvements and increase efficiencies; 5) Coordinating the resolution of financial problems identified during reviews, assessments or evaluations; and 6) Managing, allocating and monitoring funds execution actions in compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, with sufficient transparency and appropriate internal controls to ensure resources are effectively applied to meet organizational goals and objectives, while considering the Federal Government’s fiduciary duty. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using a financial management system (e.g., Navy Enterprise Resource Planning [ERP] system, or similar system} to process, review, and analyze funding actions or budgetary information; 2) Extracting and compiling information from multiple sources to create financial management or budget/execution reports using various business tools and applications; 3) Reviewing reports for accuracy and conformance with budget policy and regulations; 4) Interpreting regulations to ensure compliance in daily duties; 5) Articulating information, reports and regulations in written or oral communication regarding findings and recommendations; and 6) Recommending the development or implementation of financial management policies, plans, or programs.
