MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A degree from an accredited college/university in a fitness or health related field OR 5 years total related experience is required, a minimum of three years of those years must demonstrate a working knowledge of fitness facilities, management and health and wellness programs. Certification in coaching or as a personal trainer is preferred. CPR, AED and First Aid must be obtained within first 3 months and kept current throughout employment. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: excel, word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and navigating the web. Competency in public speaking, professional writing, computer literacy, and desktop publishing skills are preferred. Physical dexterity, ability to stand for long periods of time, regularly lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently, and carry objects over 45lbs with assistance may be required. Must have excellent oral and written communications skills. Must have excellent customer service skills, and the ability to successful, plan, organize and supervise. Incumbent must have the ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees, both inside and outside the organization. Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
