FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

GS-12 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Making financial decisions based on financial analysis, research, forecasting, and planning; 2) Reviewing, researching, analyzing and interpreting statutory, policy, or regulatory language to provide decision support; 3) Developing analytical products, financial dashboards, financial metrics, or financial reports for executive decision-makers using automated data systems and software; 4) Managing budgetary resources, spending and phasing plans, and financial controls. NOTE: Experience must be fully supported in your resume to be considered for this position. This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing financial analysis, research, and forecasting to produce financial information; 2) Reviewing budgets for accordance with appropriation laws and financial regulations; 3) Assisting in drafting, reviewing, and/or editing financial reports to recommend corrective actions; 4) Communicating with peers, management, and personnel outside of the organization to provide financial advice and/or recommendations.
