You must meet the Basic Requirements listed in the Education Requirements section and the Specialized Experience to qualify for Supervisory Medical Benefits Systems Officer, as described below. Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-14 in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA’s) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Qualifying specialized experience for the GS-15 includes: 1. Overseeing contractors that have experience with medical bill processing operations and system functions; AND 2. Overseeing the planning, development and implementation of medical bill processing/provider network changes, improvements, and modernization initiatives; AND 3. Managing a staff who work remote and nationwide .
This position is located in the Department of Labor (DOL), Office of Workers Compensation Programs (OWCP), Division of Administrative Operations (DAO), Branch of Medical and Standards & Operations (BMSO). This position is outside the bargaining unit.
