In addition to the mandatory education requirement, all applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Overseeing the recording and reporting of financial transactions to ensure accuracy; 2) implementing fiscal management programs to ensure effective internal controls for financial operations; 3) implementing corrective actions for compliance to governing laws and regulations over financial operations, management of travel and government charge card programs; 4) experience in using an automated federal financial system reporting tool; AND 5) experience supervising or leading a subordinate staff or team. Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) and/or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification highly desirable. Please provide a copy of your certification.
