Supervisory IT Specialist

Specialized Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: Managing, coordinating, and implementing personnel applications related to the processing of personnel and payroll documents; serves as lead programmer on various IT applications and responsible for significant portions of executable code. Encouraging staff to identify strategies to improve, consolidate or eliminate duplicative processes which impede excellence in customer experience; Responsible for staffing and managing allocated resources, including people, time, technology, facilities, contracts, and funds; and actively participates in all personnel matters (recruitment, staffing, promotion, training, evaluation and discipline). And Attention to Detail – Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Customer Service – Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organization outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Oral Communication- Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving – Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgement to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
This position is located in the USDA, Office of the Chief Financial Officer, National Finance Center, Government Employees Services Division (GESD), Personnel Applications Systems Branch (PESB). The primary function is managing, coordinating, and implementing personnel applications related to the processing of personnel and payroll documents.
