Basic Requirements: (Transcripts required if using education). Degree: that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position. or Combination of education and experience — courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described in A above. GS-07: Qualifying experience for the GS-07 level includes one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 level in the federal sector. Examples of specialized experience include Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Some examples of specialized experience are: -Working in group child care or other work that demonstrated the ability to assist in the operation of a child care center. -Following established childcare policies and procedures. -Providing input to the development and implementation of child development programs. -Teaching age appropriate curriculum for children aged from 6 weeks to 5 years. -Assisting with a childcare food program.
