SUPVERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NM-03 (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Have technical expertise in one or more of the following: System Safety support for Aircraft/Subsystems, Unmanned Air Systems, Launch and Recovery Equipment and/or Software Safety. 2. Have broad knowledge of aircraft/Unmanned Air Systems subsystem design architectures and critical functions associated with those subsystems. 3. Have extensive experience in conducting numerous System Safety Risk Assessments. 4. Have extensive knowledge of the Safety Governance Structure and have demonstrated support for platform Class Desk Safety Reviews, Program Safety Reviews, NAVAIR Chief Engineer Safety Reviews and reviews with the Naval Aviation Enterprise Leadership. 5. Have detailed knowledge of and experience in participating in NAVAIR’s Airworthiness Flight Clearance process acting as a Subject Matter Expert for System Safety. 6. Have demonstrated experience in leading and working with multi-disciplinary teams comprised of both military and civilian personnel investigating safety issues. 7. Have a clear understanding of the Naval Aviation mishap reporting system and the NAVAL Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP); how it is utilized to ensure operational and safety readiness and promulgate mitigation strategies to operational aircraft. 8. Have extensive experience in providing System Safety contractual requirements and conducting System Safety Working Groups, interacting with engineering teammates, program leadership, fleet pilots/maintainers and contractors. 9. Have general knowledge of R&M principles, metrics, Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analyses, and Fault Tree Analyses.
