To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level: Leading or managing a team of engineers and conducting design reviews for spacecraft, space hardware, life science payloads or aeronautic development projects; Developing processes and procedures for the development of science instruments, spacecraft, space hardware or payloads for life science experiments or technology demonstrations; Designing and developing science instruments, spacecraft, space hardware or payloads for life science experiments or technology demonstrations. As Division Chief for the Engineering Systems Division of the Ames Engineering Directorate you will be responsible for policies, procedures, resources, procurement, funding, and leading a team of highly skilled engineers in the development, test, and integration of spaceflight hardware. You will develop strategies and long-range planning, including supporting the development of new work for the Division and manage the divisions three technical area supervisors to ensure their success.
