Who May Apply: US Citizens and Non-Citizens with Allegiance to the United States. This is a full-time Term appointment in the excepted service with an NTE date of 31 May 2028 and not to exceed 3 Years. Term appointments may be extended beyond the initial term. As a term employee you will be eligible for medical insurance, life insurance, retirement dental and vision. You will be eligible to earn annual leave and sick leave. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must (a) hold a bachelor’s degree or higher that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, OR (b) possess a combination of education and experience — courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above. SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTORS/KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Applicants will be evaluated on the following factors: 1) Academic Accomplishment (Ph.D. is preferred or advanced ABD considered) in French/Francophone Language, Literature, and/or Culture, or Second Language Acquisition – French. 2) Native or near-native fluency in French and English. 3) Promise or evidence of excellence in teaching at the college level. 4) Demonstrated experience in teaching undergraduate education.

The historic site is the oldest continuously occupied military post in America.
