Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. One year of specialized experience which includes; Performing a variety of clerical and/or administrative duties in support of an organization; implementing and maintaining family support services and resources for an organization; maintaining effective communication between the organization, community resources, and family members in need of assistance and utilizing various commuter software to prepare and for receive correspondence, reports and other documents in support of family readiness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). In addition to the above: Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Critical Hiring Need, Sec 1105(b), PL 114-328, 12/23/2016 to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This is a Temporary position scheduled not to exceed 14 June 2025. Initial appointment may be more than one year but may not exceed 18 months. About the Position: Serves as the administrative assistant for the units Family Readiness Group (FRG) Program.
