MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS To qualify for this GS-12 Management Analyst position, you must demonstrate at least 52 weeks of Specialized Experience. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE must have been gained in a federal position at or above GS-11 OR (if your position and/or experience is in another federal pay scale OR outside of federal service) by performing duties at a level of responsibility and difficulty equivalent to GS-11 or above. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is work that primarily consists of administrative or analytical support specifically related to at least one of the following office or component functions: administrative management, personnel management, property/resource management, budget management, efficiency of management operations or organization policies and procedures. TYPICAL DUTIES THAT DEMONSTRATE SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE INCLUDE: (1) designing and conducting studies and analyses of management functions and processes, (2) assessing the effectiveness of management processes and systems, (3) analyzing data generated by studies and analyses and formulating recommendations and (4) communicating information to management, both orally and in writing. If you have this experience, your resume must describe, in your own words, the duties you perform that demonstrate it. Reviewers cannot assume you perform duties you don’t describe. Since Specialized Experience also has a time component, it must be evident that the duties you describe are at the required level for at least 52 weeks. CONDITIONS This is an emergency / mission-critical position. You may be called to work on weekends, after-hours and on holidays. You may be required to report to or remain at your workstation to perform critical services when employees are generally excused for all or part of a workday because of hazardous weather or other emergency situations. In case of snow, you may be required to report during irregular hours and travel in hazardous weather conditions. The work is mostly sedentary; however, some walking, bending and climbing is required when on-site to inspect the operation and maintenance of facilities. You will be required to wear a respirator on an as needed bases.
