For GS-13: Applicants must meet one of the following to qualify for the GS-12 level: One year of specialized experience in or directly related to this position that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. To be creditable, the required specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal service. Examples of GS-12 level work may include: applying an extensive knowledge of Labor Relations, Employee Relations, Equal Employment Opportunities (EEO), and Pay Administration laws, policies and regulations in addressing a variety of complex and precedent setting issues; applying knowledge of the Privacy Act, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and other privacy and security laws and regulations; and applying negotiation techniques and the ability to interpret case law and new legislation. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements for the position by the closing date of the announcement.
What General Information Do I Need To Know About This Position? Location Negotiable: The duty station of this position may be any existing USGS location that is agreed upon by the selecting official and the selectee. If the agreed upon location results in the relocation of the selectee, the travel, transportation, and relocation expenses are not authorized. For locality pay: General Schedule (opm.gov)
