This is an interdisciplinary position and may be filled by a professional engineering 0801 – General Engineering Series, 0830 Mechanical Engineering series or a 0871- Naval Architecture series depending upon the qualifications of the candidate. To Qualify for the ND-04 position: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-3 (GS-9-11 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer leading or supporting development or design of propulsor or shafting system design integration for technology advancements of whole ship systems or projects. To Qualify for the ND-03 position: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-3 (GS-9-11 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer providing design support of propulsor or shafting system design integration for technology advancements of whole ship systems or projects. You will serve as an ENGINEER in the Combat Systems Trainer Branch of CARDEROCK DIV NS. This position will support the Advanced Propulsor Management Office of the Naval Architecture and Engineering Department, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Code 808. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-4 pay band encompasses GS-12 and GS-13 grade levels. The ND-3 pay band encompasses GS-9-11 grade levels.
