Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service performing all of the following: Demonstrating expertise in personnel vetting processes, specifically related to credentialing policies and personnel vetting. Advising on Credentialing policy, processes, and Trusted Workforce performance management objectives for the Executive Branch. Applying expert knowledge and understanding of statutes, Executive Orders, official memorandum, regulations in personnel vetting policy and regulation creation. Applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-14 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-15 level. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
As a Senior Advisor with Suitability Executive Agent (SuitEA) Programs office, US Office of Personnel Management (OPM) you will serve as an expert in personnel vetting, credentialing policies, and process improvement strategies. In this role you will advise on policy changes, directing revisions to oversight methodologies, and initiating projects with potential government-wide impact.
