You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 1101 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Your resume must clearly show that you have one (1) year of experience planning, directs, or assigns work for employees. Knowledgeable of multiple departments within a grocery store in order to evaluate work, provide instruction, and conduct on the job training for workers. Carry out daily retail grocery store functions necessary to successfully execute store operations. (specialized experience) equivalent to at least GS-07. Experience can be under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military. You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Additional Requirements that must be met by the closing date: Physical requirements: (1) Frequently lift, push, pull, carry and handle commissary products weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Heavier products are moved with assistance from other workers or by using weight-handling equipment (for example: manual or electric pallet jacks). (2) Long periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, and similar activities when taking inventory, retrieving items from the warehouse, and stocking shelves. You will attest to your ability to perform these physical requirements in the Questionnaire. Time-in-grade applies to the promotion of current and former federal employees who hold or have held a permanent GS position in either the competitive or excepted service in the previous 52 weeks, including current employees applying under VEOA. This position serves as the second line supervisor and manager of the Front-End Department of a Commissary Store. The incumbent is fully responsible for all aspects of planning, scheduling, coordinating and controlling front end activities and personnel. As well as controlling all funds received and deposited daily as part of the front-end department operations.
