You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience for CN-53: To qualify at CN-53, you must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next band/grade (CN-52, GS-12 or equivalent) in the Federal service. For this position, specialized experience is defined as: Experience reviewing and editing reports, correspondence, or other materials dealing with technical, policy, and/or program issues for accuracy, adherence to policy, organization of material, appropriateness for intended audience, grammar, spelling, and punctuation, requiring concurrence and/or signature from other top management/agency officials and/or publication in official publications; AND Experience providing advice and guidance to individuals external to your work group regarding procedures for internal approval processes; AND Experience interacting with executive level staff as well as developing relationships and collaborating with individuals internal and external to your work group. CFPB uses an experience-based process to set pay for employees. Experience is evaluated and credited using the employee’s résumé. To ensure that all of your prior work experience (e.g., internships, volunteer work, details, part-time, self-employment, secondary jobs, etc.) is considered and accounted for, please ensure that your résumé covers the following: your entire work history with specific start and end dates (MM-DD-YYYY) provided for each listed position hours worked per week for each position degrees and the dates conferred (MM-YYYY) Part-time experience will be credited pro-rata based on a 40-hour work week, while work of 32 hours or more will be rounded up to full-time experience. This position is in the Office of the Director, Consumer Financial Protection (CFPB). CFPBs mission is to help consumer financial markets work by making rules more effective, by consistently and fairly enforcing those rules, and by empowering consumers to take more control over their economic lives. The purpose of this position is to assist the Executive Secretary with a variety of assignments associated with administrative efficiency and operations of the office.
