In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have, or within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement will have, at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience which is equivalent to Federal experience at the next lower grade (GS-11) level, pay band (NH-02), or equivalent (pay schedule, pay band, etc) and is described in detail in my resume. Specialized experience is described as: independently lead, or assist with leading a project team across organizational lines and conducting organizational program and process related studies and analysis of serviced organization(s), function(s), and work process to improve mission effectiveness, resource allocation and efficiency, functions, and work processes to improve mission effectiveness, and resource allocation; fluent is material support systems and methodology, the policies, procedures and regulations governing Material Support programs; applied analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration and resolution of discrepancies and ability to apply basic statistical applications. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Extensive knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing. Master knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Extensive knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations. Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
