Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Coordinate internal and external media and community relations, in communication principles and techniques, as well as in interpersonal relationships; 2) Maintain relationships with the media and the community, conducting news briefings, meetings, orientations with community leaders and other elected officials; 3) Interpret and implement public affairs policies and regulations; 4) Provide remarks for Senior Leadership speaking engagements, as well as preparing public affairs-related correspondence, articles and answers public affairs related correspondence for Senior Leadership to include requests for information, interviews, and site visits; and 5) Maintain social media outlets (Facebook, twitter, etc…) with appropriate and timely information and material for presentation to the general public and the organization.
