Required Qualifications: Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree, be an active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction), and have at least 1 year post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience. Proof of active bar membership in good standing is required. United States citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred applicants should possess strong oral and written communication skills, legal research and writing skills, interpersonal skills and exercise fair and sound judgment. Additionally, it is desired that the successful candidate have strong academic credentials and at least three years of post J.D. experience. You must meet all qualification requirements upon the closing date of this announcement. The United States Attorneys Office (USAO), Southern District of Florida (SDFL) is seeking several experienced attorneys to serve as Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) in the Civil Division primarily handling affirmative civil enforcement investigations and litigation in connection with federal health care benefit programs and affirmative civil penalty actions on behalf of federal agencies.
