Experience must demonstrate the following: A degree in Recreation or related field from an accredited college or the equivalent in work experience. Must have acquired appropriate experience and training which clearly shows that the incumbent possesses the necessary skills, knowledge and ability to perform the duties of the position. Possess managerial, administrative and technical skills necessary to accomplish the mission of the program. Functions include supervising others, division budgeting, programming, financial processes, monitoring of equipment needs, facility expansion or replacement requirements, etc. Knowledge of the recreational vehicle community and culture, including current industry standards and trends. Knowledge of the Navy’s goals, philosophy, principles, techniques and methods of procedures used in organizing, planning, administering and conducting indoor/outdoor recreation activities. Knowledge of the scope of activities and their suitability for individuals, groups and age interest. Possess managerial and administrative skills necessary to accomplish the mission of the program, including an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the culture and community. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. This position is located within the Community Activities Division, Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department of Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay, Georgia. The incumbent is responsible for daily operations, programming, administration, safe operation, custody, and maintenance of the Eagle Hammock RV Park.
