Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command - Department of the Navy

This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: Current license as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico for the SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER/ ARCHITECT/ CIVIL ENGINEER/ INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER position. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector preforming the following duties: 1) Supervises engineers or planners and engineering technicians; 2) Possesses thorough and extensive knowledge of the principles, concepts, theories, and practices of community planning, architecture, and civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering sufficient to review engineering documents used in the planning, design, alteration, repair or construction of naval facilities and to provide technical advice; 3) Prepares and evaluates budget requirements for a branch or division; 4) Develops facilities requirements plans, site planning and project development documents; and 5) Coordinates with other branches or divisions to solve conflicting requirements or customer issues.
