Specialized Experience Requirement: For the GS-12: You must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as two or more of the following: performing analytical work involved in identifying, researching, and monitoring financial management activities; and/or interpreting and applying policies and guidelines applicable to financial management; and/or participating in the review and evaluation effectiveness of internal controls. TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT: If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
This position is located within the Forest Service, Chief Financial Officer, and is responsible for implementing, operating, and maintaining an integrated financial information system that is responsive to user and customer needs. The purpose of this position is to supervise, direct, and manage operations, activities and personnel resources.
