To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level obtained in either the public or private sector. ~ OR ~ One (1) full year of graduate education in an area of study directly related to the work of this position. ~ OR ~ A combination of education and specialized experience listed above. One (1) year of graduate education is equivalent to 18 semester hours unless the school has determined otherwise. Examples of specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level Identifies and treats trauma/medical emergencies using advanced knowledge and skill in emergency medicine techniques, employee identifies the signs and symptoms of life-threatening and non-life-threatening medical trauma injuries. SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTORS Selective factors are knowledge, skills, abilities, or special qualifications that are in addition to the minimum requirements in a qualification standard, but are determined to be essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. This position is located at the Fort Belknap Service Unit in Harlem, MT and serves as a Paramedic (EMT-P). The primary purpose of this position is to perform advanced technicial health care extended functions within the emergency medical arena in response to various accidents and other emergencies involving injury and illness. The incumbent reports to the EMS Director or designee.
