BUDGET ANALYST

You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service, military and/or private sector: Performing all aspects of budget analysis, formulation, justification, presentation, execution and review of the multi-year budget submission. Conducting analyses of budget and cost information, and advising on and presenting to senior management the status, availability, and appropriate use of funding. Applying results of financial/budget related analysis to solve problems and make recommendations. Analyzing source of factual data and information, and application of analytical methods and techniques. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
This position is part of the Department of the Air Force. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as lead Information Technology (IT) budget analyst performing a wide variety of financial functions involving the formulation, justification, execution and analysis of the Transportation Working Capital Fund (TWCF) budget for IT and Capital.
