Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes extensive experience maintaining military human resources (HR) management program for military officers. Providing advice and guidance on laws/policies/regulations pertaining to officers’ retirements and making recommendations. Communicating both oral and written to review and process retirement actions such as Voluntary and Mandatory Release/Retirement, General Officer retirements, Temporary Early Retirements, Retiree Recalls, Extension for Mandatory Retirement dates or Short-term Extensions, Selective Continuations, and Selective Early Retirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
