To qualify at the GS-12 level, you must have one year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility at, or equivalent to, the GS-11 level obtained in the Federal service or in the private or non-profit sector. Specialized experience would include four or more of the following: (i) experience providing assistance to Senior-level personnel and other management analysts on administrative processes and procedures impacting the mission of the agency; (ii) experience formatting working papers in Microsoft Word and reports for final publication in Adobe Acrobat; (iii) experience making documents compliant to assist people with disabilities; (iv) experience compiling and analyzing data and preparing written reports for Senior-level personnel on administrative topics ranging from travel and training to labor costs, and drafting presentations; and (v) experience overseeing administrative processes, policies, and procedures and recommending policy changes to improve efficiency. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through national service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
The position is located in the Office of Operations, Office of Industry and Competitiveness Analysis (ICA). The successful candidate will report to the Associate Director and be responsible for working with a small team of management analysts and program support specialists to perform final production of reports and working papers created in the Office. In addition, this position will assist another management analyst to oversee all administrative processes and procedures for ICA.
