The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 10/24/2024. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 10/24/2024. GS-12: You qualify at the GS-12 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Prepare intelligence related reports Produce intelligence products related to national security, public safety, and fraud trends that address Key Intelligence Questions (KIQ’s) Support the Request for Information (RFI) program GS-13: You qualify at the GS-13 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Apply (and modify, if necessary) established intelligence practices to specific problems, which involve many variables Research, evaluate, and analyze large volumes of classified, unclassified, and sensitive intelligence information Assess, report, and present significant intelligence studies, analyses, and evaluations which could impact DHS IE, IC, LEAs, Non-Title 50agencies, and SLTT partners Establish and maintain contacts with law enforcement and intelligence organizations Please read the following important information to ensure you submit everything we need to consider your application: Your resume will be used to determine your qualifications for the position advertised in this announcement. This Fraud Detection and National Security (FDNS) position is located in the FDNS Refugee, Asylum, and International Operations Directorates Vetting Branch. It requires significant worktime in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). As an Intelligence Research Specialist, you will represent the organization on committees and working groups; participate in developing and drafting policies, procedures, and guidelines; analyze and evaluate large volumes of intelligence materials.
