Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have Experience which provides a working familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities or programs; and practical knowledge and/or experience of recreational activities equipment, rules and procedures which involves recreational work in the area of specialty in which the position is assigned. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing and possess skill in dealing with the public. Must have experience which demonstrates knowledge of goals, application of principles, concepts and methods and techniques of recreation. Knowledge of programming, marketing and scheduling events or programs within one or more of the following: morale, welfare and recreation, business operations and/or community center event planning. Skill in written and oral communications and the ability to speak with a variety of groups. Must possess experience that provides knowledge of cash handling procedures. Must have computer skills in the use of various automated software programs, tools and techniques to produce a variety of documents and reports but the skills of a qualified typist are not required. Ability to make decisions and work effectively under the pressure and time lines and rigid deadlines. Must be able to pass a physical examination as the position requires long periods of standing, recurring bending, crouching, and reaching and lifting moderately heavy items. Must be able to obtain a Tier I background investigation. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
About the position: This position will be assigned to the Community Center . This position is considered Regular Full -Time (RFT). You are guaranteed 40 hours, you may be required to work nights, weekends and holidays. As a RFT employee, you are eligible to earn annual/sick leave and sign up for benefits, to include Health/Dental and Life
