Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Experience delegating and supervising the work of subordinate employees in custodial/housekeeping work. Experience demonstrating technical expertise in lodging housekeeping operation and program management. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of management methods and techniques. 2. Ability to delegate work. 3. Ability to develop procedures which mesh the specific goals of the housekeeping program. 4. Ability to work with other managers to coordinate respective programs. 5. Ability to analyze problems and make decisions. 6. Ability to communicate effectively. 7. Knowledge of applicable rules and regulations in areas such as budget, personnel, and labor relations and ability to develop operating procedures implementing these requirements. 8.Knowledge of housekeeping methods and techniques. 9. Knowledge of various floor, wall, and ceiling covering materials. **NOTE: Those qualified applicants who meet both the minimum qualification requirement(s) and highly preferred criteria(s) will be considered best qualified for this position and will be referred to the selecting official(s) first for consideration. This position will be assigned to the Lackland Lodging Facility at Lackland AFB. This is a regular part-time category position with guaranteed 20 hours per week, may work up to 40hrs/week. Employees appointed to regular category positions are eligible for benefits. Continuous standing, bending, stooping, and reaching; frequently lifting and emptying wastebaskets; frequently pushing carts, weighing more than 100 pounds.
