You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Applies records, archival and information management principles, concepts, practices, and methods to advise and provide oversight of combatant commands and Joint Staff organizations on their Records Management programs and management of all records in all media throughout their life-cycle; Demonstrate the ability to manage relationships and build bridges between various groups and employees in an organization; Applies search and retrieval processes sufficient to identify, locate and provide documentary evidence of subpoenas or audits, Freedom of information Act requests, and investigations of ethical and professional conduct while complying with statutory, regulatory, legal, and other requirements; Applies documentation or library methods and techniques used to process information, historical records, or similar repositories and knowledge of special technical methods and devices used in semi and automated information systems; Utilizes and applies Title 44 USC 31, National Archives and Records Administration, and DOD Directives and Regulations pertaining to records management administration; Familiarity with Data Management and Artificial Intelligence Concepts Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
The Incumbent is the Senior Records Analyst to Joint Staff Records Officer and combatant commands; responsible for Electronic Records Management; recommends changes/additions to Joint Staff and Combatant Command disposition schedules for approval; serves as agencys representative to the Office of the Secretary of Defense Chief Information Office and NARA for RM policy and disposition requirements affecting the Joint Staff and CCMDs.
