In addition to the basic education requirements, you must have specialized experience and/or directly related education as described below: To qualify for the GS-14 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-13 level defined as leading agency or organizational-level business improvement processes; Establishing, or leading agency-wide multi-disciplinary teams responsible for implementing technology solutions and establishing processes to govern and oversee the delivery of business automation products. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: Ability to plan and direct application and forms development projects and work group processes Ability to set priorities, prepare schedules, and assign and coordinate work Knowledge of supervisory and management policies and principles Skill in leadership Skill in data collection Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with people from varied backgrounds Skill in oral communication Skill in written communication Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
