Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic Leader without more than normal supervision. Can perform common Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic Leader duties such as passing on the supervisor’s instructions to other workers and scheduling the daily workload. Can operate various testing equipment; and determine the correct trouble shooting methods to be used. Work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. – Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability To Lead or Supervise Ability To Use Hand and Power Tools – Electronics Ingenuity (Ability To Suggest and Apply New Methods) Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. Theory of Electronics Trouble shooting (Electronic Equipment) Use of Test Equipment: Electronics PHYSICAL EFFORT Requires moderate physical effort to lift and carry items weighing approximately 40 pounds. Required to stoop, bend, and stand for prolonged periods and some assignments require climbing 20 to 50 foot heights. WORKING CONDITIONS Works in well lighted, heated and ventilated shop areas or at missile site and is occasionally subject to inclement weather. Subject to cuts, bruises, burns and shock caused by high voltage energy and soldering irons.
