GS-14: To qualify at the GS-14 level, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level: Providing technical leadership, guidance or oversight with communication systems such antenna theory, baseband processor, receivers, low noise amplifiers, deepspace network, near earth network, video, audio, ground processing, networks; Leading communication engineering projects or teams to present problems/resolutions to program management; Planning the implementation of radio frequency hardware development, integration, or testing at the subsystem, system and end-to-end levels. Serve as the System Manager (SM) for the Orion Communication and Tracking (C/T) system. This position serves as a management authority with responsibility for independently identifying technical needs and managing the system engineering and technical integration activities over the entire life cycle, including development, design and development, test, verification, launch and on-orbit operations.
